Kansas Community Collaborative to Prevent Infant Mortality: State Town Hall Meeting
The Community-Centered Hospital Initiative at NICHQ aims to establish a new framework where communities, led by a trusted community-based organization, drive transformative efforts alongside perinatal quality collaboratives and hospitals to improve health outcomes for mothers, infants, and families. In partnership with the Kansas Birth Equity Network (KBEN), we are extending an invitation to a statewide webinar: “Kansas Community Collaborative to Prevent Infant Mortality: State Town Hall,” Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST.
Although the focus is on the state of Kansas, everyone is invited to attend: state health professionals, community health workers, birthing professionals, advocates, caregivers, families, and more!
We acknowledge the significance of supporting leaders like Dr. Sharla Smith, founder of KBEN, whose work is dedicated to improving perinatal and infant health across Kansas. Dr. Smith will spearhead the state’s initiatives. Join us as we reflect on the past and engage in the present to create a future where all mothers, infants, and families can thrive.
