Empowering families through maternal and child health services

UnitedHealthcare Community & State is working with the National Institute for Children’s Health Quality (NICHQ) through UnitedHealthcare’s Community Collaborative Partnership Program to address family health needs across the U.S. This program aims to promote sustainable, community-centered solutions to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal and child health outcomes.

A New Era in Infant Survival

Join NICHQ and Safe Kids Worldwide for an interactive webinar held in recognition of SIDS Awareness Month, on October 23, 2025, at 2 PM EDT. The third and final webinar in the NICHQ’s National Community Partnership to Promote Safe Sleep Initiative, “A New Era in Infant Survival: Recognizing the True Value of Community-Centered Initiatives,” will focus on the importance of community involvement and its power to drive improved health outcomes, increased awareness of infant care practices, and stronger social networks that advocate for birthing families and infant health.

The Community-Centered Hospital Initiative at NICHQ aims to establish a new framework where communities, led by a trusted community-based organization, drive transformative efforts alongside perinatal quality collaboratives and hospitals to improve health outcomes for mothers, infants, and families. In partnership with the Kansas Birth Equity Network (KBEN), we are extending an invitation to a statewide webinar: “Kansas Community Collaborative to Prevent Infant Mortality: State Town Hall,” Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1:00 CST.
