  • Senior Analyst

    The Senior Analyst brings knowledge of and experience in applied research and evaluation and applies that knowledge to lead the successful design, execution and management of projects in the context of NICHQ’s maternal child health work. The Senior Analyst works closely and collaboratively with the Senior leadership in Programs and in the Department of Applied Research and Evaluation (DARE), project leads, Quality Improvement Advisors, expert faculty members, funders, and project teams to design and execute applied research and evaluation work that provides high-quality, relevant data analysis and recommendations across the lifecycle of projects. The Senior Analyst plays an integral and leadership role on NICHQ’s Applied Research and Evaluation team, guiding the department’s work (under the supervision of the Associate Director and senior leadership in DARE), as well as in the team’s work to capture, develop, and spread innovative approaches. The Senior Analyst may provide additional research consulting services and assist in elevating NICHQ’s standing in the scientific community by driving strategic planning for publications and conference presentations.

  • Principal Analyst

    August 9, 2024

    The Principal Analyst draws upon a strong track record of expertise in clinical research, informatics, and evaluation to lead and manage clinical research-focused maternal child health projects at NICHQ. The Principal Analyst supervises staff in NICHQ’s Department of Applied Research and Evaluation (DARE), collaborates with relevant staff in NICHQ’s Programs and Health Equity Innovation departments, and liaises with expert faculty members, funders, and other project partners. The Principal Analyst plays an integral and leadership role in NICHQ’s Applied Research and Evaluation team, utilizing quantitative and qualitative research skills, applying informatics and data management expertise, mentoring junior staff, collaborating with senior leaders in the department, and supporting business development opportunities in research and evaluation. This role involves oversight and support for harmonizing large data sets of genetic and clinical data from several cohorts of formerly premature children who were enrolled in prospective studies, have existing genome-wide data or DNA samples and are being followed at school-age and beyond. Key activities for this position include management of staff to assist in developing combined datasets of clinical and genomic data, implementing data management strategies, and using advanced analytical techniques to generate project insights.
