Keeping Our Babies Safe

Working Together to Reduce Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)

Beginning in 2020, the sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUID) rate has been increasing in the U.S. In 2022, the SUID rate was 100.9 deaths per 100,000 live births. Enhancing infant safe sleep (ISS) promotion on the community level presents opportunities to address disparities and reduce infant sleep-related death.
