Family Engagement and Leadership in Systems of Care
The purpose of the FELSC program is to enhance engagement of families of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and individuals with lived experience, within the systems that serve them. FELSC includes two projects: 1) providing national family engagement leadership to support maternal and child health programs that serve CYSHCN and 2) providing TA to Family to Family Health Information Centers.
Support state teams in engaging families in leadership to improve systems of care
NICHQ partners with Family Voices on five Learning Collaboratives (one per year) focused on different areas of the MCHB Blueprint for Change. NICHQ and Family Voices plan and co-lead monthly calls with teams and engage team leads in co-creating curriculum and collaborative planning. The Learning Collaboratives will aim to identify and address key barriers to family engagement through quality improvement.
