Karina Salcedo, MA

I am beyond delighted to be working with such an inspiring organization like NICHQ, that is dedicated to taking action towards achieving health equity and reducing health disparities among children and their families. Growing up I witnessed many people in my community encounter many barriers to obtaining access to quality health and support. Fast-forward to today, being able to witness the great things that NICHQ does to help children, and their families reach their optimal health is incredible and it serves as both hope and inspiration for global and public health fields. Through my work at NICHQ I aim to take part in the dismantling of social and structural barriers that prevent equitable access to quality health services for those in need, especially those among underserved communities.
