Building on Campaigns with Conversations

An Individualized Approach to Helping Families Embrace Safe Sleep and Breastfeeding

Safe infant sleep practices and breastfeeding go hand in hand — breastfeeding reduces SIDS risk by improving a baby’s overall health and reducing potential stressors. Helping families make informed decisions about how to feed and sleep their babies ensures that they have the supports they need to follow through.

Each “Building on Campaigns with Conversations” with extensive input from more than 70 national organizations, is designed to help shift the approaches we have often used in promoting safe sleep and breastfeeding and to pull them together since they are all part of caring for a new baby.
