Connecting Providers and Community Groups to Improve SCD Appointment Attendance
Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) affects about 100,000 Americans, causing health issues that require regular appointments. Many SCD patients miss critical appointments due to various barriers. A 2019 study showed that most missed appointments occurred in the past year. This webinar shows the importance of SCD clinics working with community-based organizations (CBOs) to help patients and address barriers.
