Awareness and Access to Care for Children & Youth with Epilepsy
A project to improve access to comprehensive, coordinated healthcare and related services for children with epilepsy in medically underserved areas.

September 2004 to September 2008
- Who: The project engaged eight teams from California, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oregon, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
- Funder: The project was funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration (HHS), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) and conducted in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation.
- Our Role: Facilitated a Breakthrough Series learning collaborative to apply quality improvement methodology to identify areas in need of improvement in the overall healthcare system for children with epilepsy. Developed a change package that leads to improvement.
