Medicaid Funding Opportunities in Support of Perinatal Regionalization Systems
Improving strategies to fund risk-appropriate care and improve infant health outcomes.
This issue brief analyzes the perinatal regionalization as a system for improving risk-appropriate care, and how Medicaid funding can be used by states to better serve at-risk moms and connect them with the right treatment. The case studies from California and Georgia show how some states are already using Medicaid funding to achieve these goals. Further examples can be found in NASHP’s interactive table.
