Promoting Safe Infant Sleep

Relying on Communities' Capabilities to Get the Word Out

The National Institute for Children’s Health Quality (NICHQ) and Safe Kids Worldwide hosted “Promoting Safe Infant Sleep: Relying on Communities’ Capabilities to Get the Word Out,” on August 28, 2025, at 2 PM EDT.

The second webinar in NICHQ’s National Community Partnership to Promote Safe Sleep Initiative focuses on the importance of leveraging the strengths and resources of local communities to boost awareness about safe sleep practices for infants. By engaging community members, organizations can create a unified and impactful message that resonates with families.

Why Attend?

Participants will hear from practitioners and researchers about harnessing local knowledge and leveraging community networks to amplify the message about safe sleep and work together towards reducing incidents of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID). Engaging in these collaborative efforts not only strengthens interventions but also builds a sense of ownership within each community.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for community advocates, caregivers, and perinatal health champions who remain dedicated to advancing infant safe sleep education and reducing sleep-related infant deaths.
