Improving Respectful Care Through Hear Her
NICHQ will leverage its role as the coordinating center for the National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC), as well as the Hear Her Campaign and related respources, to improve and promote respectful birth and maternal health care.

Equipping Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) with tools and resources to advance and embed respectful care practices
NICHQ will equip PQCs with tools and resources for patient and provider education, foster collaborative partnerships, and provide ongoing opportunities for shared learning.
The goal of this project is to promote respectful birth & maternal health practices and improve patient experience by having PQCs’ hospital partners adopt and sustain a culture of respectful and patient-centered maternity care.

Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Defense Health Agency
Our Role
NICHQ’s role is to support Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) in advancing respectful care practices across healthcare systems. NICHQ will disseminate tools, promote sharing of strategies and lessons learned from PQCs, and foster ongoing conversations around embedding and sustaining respectful care practices within quality improvement.
