Accelerating Improvement in Childhood Obesity
A project to engage stakeholders and identify the best clinical practices and innovative strategies being used in the United States.
Who
The project involved nearly 400 individuals representing 100 multi-sector organizations across the United States.
Our Role
Conducted a strategic meeting for organizational representatives (Invitational Summit) and a public conference for front line providers (National Congress) to lay the foundation for a learning network and knowledge management system to accelerate improvement in clinical components of prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. Provided best practice implementation assistance and support for frontline providers.

Other Information
As a result of this project, NICHQ developed the Childhood Obesity Action Network (COAN). COAN was a listserv-based national network of healthcare professionals, quality improvement leaders, childhood obesity experts and child health advocates dedicated to eradicating obesity. Members post questions, share information and resources.

From the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health. PSBs are collections of evidence-informed best practices that address clinically specific conditions in pregnant and postpartum people. The NNPQC helps provide TA and support to PQCs in adopting the core AIM Perinatal Mental Health Bundle.
Perinatal Quality Collaboratives
