PPOC Quality Improvement Initiative

Status: Complete

WHAT: A project to improve care for children with asthma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obesity at the clinical level, through site visits, a listserv, patient-level data collection and feedback reports.

WHO: The project involved nearly 40 primary care practices in Massachusetts associated with the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's Hospital Boston.

WHEN: 2002 to 2005

FUNDER: The project was funded by the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's Hospital Boston.

NICHQ'S ROLE: Provided expert assessment of pediatric provider care processes and recommendations for strategies to improve delivery of care for the provider’s initiative of choice (asthma, ADHD or obesity). NICHQ also supported the formation of electronic patient registries.
